Single and Multiplayer Texting Games
Rock-Paper-Scissors
- You can play this game with any of your contacts or anyone else that has opted in to play on our public Mobile Game ServerTM.
-
Example text message to start a game: "RPS rachel m rock"
- The first thing (RPS) is the command for Rock-Paper-Scissors.
- The second thing (rachel m) is the name of the contact that you want to invite to the game.
- The third thing (rock) is your game selection.
-
The Mobile Game ServerTM receives the text and invites your contact, rachel m.
-
rachel m then gets a text.
Example:
"John S (555-123-1234) has challenged you to a game of rock-paper-scissors.
To play, reply with R for rock, P for paper, S for scissors or N for 'no thanks'." - If rachel m responds, the Mobile Game Server will notify each player of the outcome.
- If rachel m does not want to play, she simply does not repspond or sends a reply of "N" for 'no thanks'.
- In this example, lets say that rachel m reply's with "P" for Paper.
-
rachel m then gets a text.
-
When rachel m replys, the Mobile Game ServerTM compares the challenger's selection
against the selection of challengee.
- In this examply John S chose Rock and rachel m chose Paper.
- John S gets a text: "Sorry, you've lost. rachel m chose Paper, beating your Rock".
- rachel m gets a text: "You've won! John S chose Rock".
Heads-or-Tails
Single player:
- Example text "heads or tails".
- Example response "heads".
- Example text "heads or tails rachel m".
- The Mobile Game Server randomly choose heads or tails.
-
Example text to rachel m: "John S (555-123-1234) challenges you to a game of Heads-or-Tails
Reply with H for heads, T for tails or N for 'no thanks'. ". - Example reply by rachel m: "H".
-
The Mobile Game Server compares the reply to the random choice it made earlier.
Let's say it chose heads this time. - John S gets a message: "rachel m won by choosing Heads"
- rachel m gets a message: "It's Heads! You've won!"
